Balacco Service Center is authorized to market and calibrate Siemens VDO analog and digital speedometers.
The instrument – required since 1 May 2006 for all newly registered cargo vehicles with maximum capacity over 3.5 tonnes and buses with more than 8 seats – was introduced in the EU member states to increase security against interference and tampering, as well as road safety. Besides the actual speedometer, Siemens VDO also supplies a package of services, complete with peripherals and software, to facilitate use of the new technology.
